BOARD MEMBER CQL Canada is pleased to have Robin Strickland, Executive Director of Corridor Community Options Society in Enfield, Nova Scotia, as a member on its Board of Directors.
NSRAA Supervisor Conference May 2 - 4, 2007
The conference was organized by Nova Scotia Residential Agencies Association (NSRAA). NSRAA is a provincial association comprised of 47 members. The criteria for membership is that the member organization must be not for profit and serve people with intellectual disability, physical disability or a mental health concern.
This conference trained senior staff in the use of the Personal Outcome Measures® and their application in a Self Assessment workshop.
WORKSHOPS
2008 In October Community Living Alternative Society hosted a Self-Assessment workshop. Queen's Association for Supportive Living held two Personal Outcome Measures® workshops in November.
2006 CQL Canada presented Rights Cultivation and an Overview of the Personal Outcome Measures® 2005 at Summer Street Industries in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
2005/2006 CQL conducted several one day overviews of the Quality Measures 2005® and the Personal Outcome Measures® (at different locations) for direct care staff. All combined approximately 1000 direct care staff were introduced to the Quality Measures 2005® and the Personal Outcome Measures®.
Summer Street Industries and Highland Community Residential Services (vocational and residential agencies) in New Glasgow have both undergone Self Assessment workshops. During this training the first day orientation and the last day wrap up was open to other organizations and the Department of Community Services
