Understanding Where You Are

CQL Canada believes that knowledge about people is the foundation for delivering quality services. With a clear understanding of what people want and need from the services and supports they receive - their Personal Outcomes - staff can marshal the organization’s resources toward that end. Our workshops offer the tools you need to conduct a baseline assessment and measure progress over time.

 

Making it Personal

The Council on Quality and Leadership’s Personal Outcome Measures® form the foundation for organizational quality enhancement. The Personal Outcome Measures® were first developed in 1991. They reflect CQL Canada’s decision to shift the definition of quality from what organizations do (process and services) to what people want and care about (the impact of those services on their lives).

 

 

Person Centred Thinking/Essential Lifestyle Planning Training

Essential Lifestyle Planning (ELP) is a guided process for learning how someone wants to live and for developing a plan to help make it happen.

 

An Essential Lifestyle Plan is a type of person-centred plan that is useful in:

·         Discovering what is important to a person in everyday life

·         Identifying what support the person requires and any issues of health or safety (from the perspective of the person)

·         Describing what you have learned in a way that is easily understood by those who will enable the person to get what is important to them

 

CQL Canada offers the following workshops as part of its Person Centred Thinking Program.

 

Skill Building: Person by Person - Our practical presentations offer valuable information and tools for enhancing critical staff competencies.

 

Consultation and training is also available to organizations requiring assistance on the "How To's" of establishing a Rights Committee, roles, responsibilities and recruitment.
